Such a peacefull place, i think it is best place to stay in Rishikesh. It felt like home, Not a comercial place.

The ashram has excellent service and location. The family that owns it is very kind and thoughtful. The concerts during the evening are really beautiful. They helped me to get a taxi when I needed it and were always helpful about any question about the area.

The Devi music ashram had spacious rooms and large common areas with a library and yoga/concert hall. I stayed in a room without air conditioning but still found the temperature comfortable and easy to regulate at night. What makes Devi music ashram most special is that there are concerts in the evenings most days of the week. There is raga music to accompany meditation but also guest artists from other parts of India. Lectures on Indian philosophy are also held in the morning. I think even those with just a little interest in Indian culture will greatly enjoy staying at the Devi music ashram.

The ashram is a very peaceful and cool haven in the heat and bustle of Rishikesh. The evening concerts are wonderful, and the staff very friendly and accommodating.
