if you want a true country village cottage experience this is it. you have a lovely room that's typical cottage and a proper cottage experience with the lovely host Claudia. you will be treated as if you actually lived in the cottage with the host. nothing is too much trouble and you are made at home. Claudia is a lovely lady and she is so kind and just talking to her is a treat.

Claudia is charming, and her cottage is a delightful and characterful home. I felt very welcomed, like a member of the family! Pepper, the little dog, is so cute. Guest accommodation is at the front of the house. The private bathroom was lovely with a deep bath and plenty of hot water. The bed was cosy. Claudia serves a generous breakfast in her large homely kitchen. I'm currently reproducing her berry and plum compote. The area is stunningly beautiful and people are friendly. The village has a little duck pond and there is good street parking. Nearby Masham has great beer and food options. A bonus was sunny days and clear nights. The air is so clear, the moon looked amazing, as did the Northern Lights. I would love to return.

Claudia is an amazing host!!! She’s so warm, friendly, fun and interesting!! Her home is beautiful and comfortable and her quirky dog, Pepper, gives you a very enthusiastic welcome. Breakfast is gorgeous. Bed is extremely comfortable. I will most definitely return.

Location was lovely, pub closed at the moment though so very quiet for food you need to go to a neighbouring village a drive away.
