We love this hotel and town. Great location for hitting all the sites (San Felipe, Las Coloradas, El Cuyo) great views, robubst breakfast included. I had to work everyday and the have great WiFi especially on the rooftop. Sleepy fishing town with great food. We had a car, but could definitely do it without.

The restaurant was very good and very cheap! The swimming pool area was also very nice. Close to the bus terminal and to all the activities in town. The staff was very helpful though not all of them were speaking very well English. The room was also very good. The towels we got was maybe not the cleanest ones (you could see that they had been used many times before + had some dirty marks on them).

Fantastic location, great pool & terrace area on the lagoon. Room was clean, bed comfortable, air con cool & shower hot. Sunset cocktails on the roof was perfection - and they had a happy hour! Friendly staff who couldn’t do more for us, despite our lack of Spanish. Looked after us even when the electricity went out in the whole of Rio Lagartos meaning there was no air con / hot water / fridge etc.

Lovely and helpful staff. Nice breakfast and comfy bed. AC worked a treat. We were able to borrow hotel bikes and explore the fishing village which was fun. Boat tour picked us up from the hotel jetty. The village is really authentic, which is what we were after, away from the hustle bustle of Cancun. Got to see flamingos, crocodiles and the pink lakes. Special place. There is also a cenote on the edge of the village. Wonderful sea food restaurant and sunsets.

There are not many hotels in Rio Lagartos and Hotel Rio Lagartos is probably one if not the best to choose from. The room was very spacious and provided with air conditioning, fridge and a spectacular view onto the lagoon. The hotel has a nice open area with pool where you can relax and it has a direct access to the lagoon so if you book a boat trip (like we did), they can come to pick you up directly at the hotel, which is convenient. The roof terrace is also agreat place to enjoy the view of the lagoon and the small town from a high point. You can take great pictures forom there! Also, parking space is available, although this is not secured away with a gate but nontheless we did nothave any problem. The entire village seems a vey safe place.

The Location of the property is ideal. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The Hotel had its own Jetty and Roof Top bar to watch the sunset.
