Great positioned hotel with a pool and bar on the roof. The beach of Ipanema is two minutes away from the hotel entrance. The staff was always polite and very helpful, also very professional. The concierge service in the hotel does amazing work. The food was also very delicious and well made. All together, a great stay in a clean and well managed hotel. When we return to Rio, we'll return to Sol Ipanema.

We stayed at Sol Ipanema for 7 nights over New year. Amazing central location in Ipanema. Sea and beach just across the road in front of the hotel. Chairs, towels and umbrellas provided by the hotel - so we loved the beach. Room was clean and bed was v comfortable. Buffet breakfast was provided and was a good. Some great restaurants and bars nearby. We felt safe walking in the neighbourhood. We predominantly used ubers to get around. The hotel was expensive but in view of the excellent location, feeling safe and the friendly staff, we felt it was worth the cost.

Stayed here twice during a visit to Rio before and after a wedding in Buzios, very nice hotel in a central location on Ipanema Beach, rooms were very nice, we had a superior room first which overlooks the beach, great views, 2nd stay we were upgraded to a family room which also overlooks the beach, beds were super comfortable, shower very good, well stocked mini bar in both the rooms we stayed in, staff all friendly and helpful, lots of good bar's and restaurants near the hotel

Location is excellent. Provide beach towels and seats to go to the beach. Pool terrace is nice. Breakfast is good.

The location is great and the rooms are nice. Staff were helpful and did move us to front facing rooms which was appreciated (for an extra cost).

There is no better location than Sol Ipanema, the views from the rooftop are breath taking. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and with great variety. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. I love that the hotel provides towels, chairs and umbrella for the beach.
