The fine print
According to the Brazilian Federal Law 8.069/1990, minors under 18 years of age cannot check into hotels unless they are accompanied by their parents or a designated adult. If a minor is accompanied by an adult other than his parents, it is necessary to present a written authorisation for the minor to check into the hotel. Such authorisation must be notarised and signed by both parents, and presented along with notarised copies of their IDs.All minors under 18 years of age also need to present a valid ID with photo, to prove their identity and that of his/her parents. This must be presented even if a minor is accompanied by his/her parents.In the case of a minor accompanied by only one of the parents, it is necessary to present a notarised authorisation signed by the absent parent, along with a notarised copy of that parent's ID.

location is quite good, breakfast has everything needed with an appropriate refill frequency. AC was working as expected, bed was comfortable enough.

This hotels is to the back of an alley in the busy neighborhood of copacabana, meaning that is is actually QUIET, and sunny and airy. This is exceptional in such neighborhood and in all of zona sul. This hotel has INDIRECT LIGHTING in the bedrooms. Most hotels have horrible fluorescent white light coming from the ceiling and this one too, but it also has two different LOW pleasurable relaxing WARM INDIRECT LIGHTING in, I believe, all double rooms. Congratulations, what a pleasurable stay . Este hotel cuenta con dos aspectos excepcionales para su categoria y ubicacion: LUCES INDIRECTAS Y UNA UBICACION TRANQUILA AL FINAL DE UN CALLE CORTAD. Really good value. I liked the breakfast and always looked forward to it - lots of options such as fruit, scrambled eggs, homemade cake daily and most importantly good coffee. Once I had a request regarding food and the lady was super friendly about it, unfortunately I don't know her name... but their staff is great. The wifi worked without worked trouble. The location is what I liked the most. It's located on a little deadend street, which makes it safer (as a woman travelling alone) and just a few minutes away from the beautiful beach!

Great location in the heart of Copacabana. Nice buffet breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful, though their English skills were very limited.
