Hostel Overview

Located only 300 metres from the main square, Naughty Squirrel Backpackers Hostel is set in the heart of the Old Town of Riga. This Australian-owned hostel offers free Wi-Fi access and daily tours to AK Shooting and Winter Bobsled with the Latvian Olympic Team.
Apart from cozy and simply furnished rooms, guests have an access to lockers and locks, bed linens and towels, local city maps, tea/ coffee and luggage storage. All rooms and entrance doors at the Naughty Squirrel have smart card key locks for your exclusive access, and CCTV provides additional security. All dormitory beds include free use of an under-bed locker for your backpack.
The on-site 24h bar offers happy hours with discounts and guests can join activities like Beer Pong, Food Nights, Trivia Nights, Movie Nights and much more.
The hostel has a large common room for meeting fellow travellers and sharing experiences from the road. A large plasma TV and a huge DVD library will also keep you entertained. I recommend this place if you are young and Like to make new friends, I was there during the weekend and the hostel made an event to go to drink and dance, it was so fun so I would definitely go there again. Also it's very close to a shopping mall and other famous attractions.

Welcomed with a big smile and a shot! We were offered to join a group pub crawl where the host organised everyone and got them all together, making sure no one was left behind and that everyone mingled. We had a great night out and met lots of interesting people from all over the world.

This is the perfect hostel whether you're just looking to explore Riga or if you're looking to have a bit more of a party. I came as a solo traveller and was amazed by how helpful the staff are. They make you feel welcome as soon as you arrive and give you SO MANY recommendations on what to see and do in Riga (big shout-out to Darts, she knows everything about Riga!) While I was planning to have a more relaxed time, the social events they run in the evening are good fun, but not too over the top. Definitely check out the bar with Latvian dancing. The hostel itself was perfectly clean and very nice inside. The rooms are a good size and the beds are comfortable, and it's great to be able to get a Latvian beer right there. The location is also great, just 5 minutes from the bus and train station and a stone's throw from the old town. Overall, a great place to stay, and I highly recommend it!

1. Super welcoming & helpful staff. 2. Social environment and they organize social activities like beer tasting, pub crawl etc. 3. Very fast wifi all over 4. Super near to bus station - 7 min walk. 5. Walking distance to all main attractions. 6. Surrounded by super store, restaurant, pubs etc 7. Super clean and well stocked toilets & bathrooms. 8. Good & Fast laundry service
