Met by friendly owner to give access on arrival. Well equipped kitchen. Seating area with English speaking news channel available on TV. Separated comfortable bedroom with ensuite. Plenty of light in bedroom. Private entrance from street via a small flight of stairs. Under five minutes walk to centre of old town with many eating and drinking options. Really peaceful place, central but away from any noise. Clean.

Wander just a few metres off the main tourist drag of the Old Town in Rhodes and you're in a completely different neighbourhood of abandoned buildings and motor scooters. Despite the obvious poverty, the streets are clean and, like everywhere in Greece, the people are welcoming and friendly. Walking around in the evening, I found the area actually quite charming. It feels more authentically Greek than the flashy tat of the tourist drag. My apartment was on the first floor, so there were some stairs to negotiate. The flat was a little tired but very clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the flat was very quiet. Hostess was friendly and responsive. This is an excellent value location and highly recommended.
