The hotel is very good, the rooms are decent and functional. The breakfast is generous and delicious. The bedding is a little tight in terms of comfort and the bathroom a little narrow. A huge thank you to the receptionist, Gabriela, for her dynamic and impeccable welcome. She is a real ray of sunshine. If only every hotel could have a Gabriela...

Cons: The room was too cold when we arrived. The heaters were turned off and the window was left open. The shelf where the glasses were on was dusty and the coffee machine needed a clean up. The walls had no sound isolation so we heard the next door guests' conversations. Pros: We loved the scent of the liquid soap, shampoo and shower gel. There were bathrobes which were awesome. Once turned on, the heaters were extremely hot.

Really atmospheric with great common areas and fantastic Icelandic art. My top floor room had a balcony overlooking the City. Breakfast is plentiful and fresh. Parking is a plus. Great lift too !

Breakfast was ok, nothing exciting, location was ok again, nothing exciting, staff were brilliant, very helpful when possible and very polite. I'm sure the bar area was ok and the music that is put on some nights, but we used it as a base and not to spend time in.

Perfectly located in the heart of Reykjavik and 5-10 mins walk from a host of shops, bars and restaurants. Not much to look at from the outside but inside is grand and old-fashioned with a large collection of art on every wall. The junior suite was very comfortable and spacious and breakfast was good.
