Main difficulty was that the lift was out of order for the whole time we were there, and my husband has mobility difficulties. Also there was a step in our room to the bathroom. Staff were apologetic. Hotel was comfortable and staff helpful.

I got married here in 2001 and came for a wedding. There were some changes, modernised etc. Still liked the the location, the room was spacious and beds comfy. Staff were helpful and very friendly. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel which was nice with mainly a traditional menu. It wasn't too expensive, an average price in line with other hotels.

Room was much bigger than expected for a standard double. Breakfast was lovely, as were the staff.

Comfortable and spacious room, clean, helpful staff and nice grounds. Use of an iron and ironing board in our room was a bonus and also tea making provisions.

I thought the staff were very rude banging on my door at 11.04 ( check out at 11am) asking me to exit the room. This had happened 3times now, i do not need to pay for this type of harassment.

Old property that had been modernised. We were in a refurbished room, comfortable. Staff were all friendly and responsive to any problem. Breakfast was fine, but very busy due to a business meeting that was due to start.
