Wonderful experience and a unique opportunity to live in a charming bungalow on Rarotonga. Joe and Odett are incredibly kind and will do everything to make your stay enjoyable. Great location, delicious breakfasts and free use of bikes to get around. Awesome holiday.

Jo and Odette are fantastic hosts. The accommodation is simple but very comfortable and has all the facilities we needed. Comfy bed, well eqiopped kitchenette, seating / dining area, bathroom and balcony. The. Affectionate cats, chickens and goats all add to the pleasure of staying here. There’s a shop and decent burger joint at the end of the road and Muri beach is walkable. We rented a scooter and were able to travel all around the Island. Jo and Odette host an excellent communal breakfast for the residents every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday and deliver little goodies the other days, fresh croissants, donuts, fruit etc. Really can’t praise it too highly, the whole set up has a lovely, relaxed ambience.

Very homely stay spot with nature at its best all around. Hospitable hosts who provide timely communication for anything you ask. Generous breakfast spread 3 times a week with local bakery goodies delivered to your cottage on the other 2 days. Saturday recommendation is the lively Punanga Nui Market. Would definitely recommend experiencing this lovely farmstay in Raro.

The breakfast was great. The days we were with the hosts, nice food, great conversation & info to help us. The days when we ate breakfast in our cottage, we had croissants & donuts with jam. (and they were really nice) I would really recommend Jo's Farmstay, I am hoping to be back in the next 12 months.

This place is faultless. There is not enough room to type it all. Jo and Odette offer so much to the Cook Islands tourist industry. The accommodation is fantastic for the price they charge. They make it affordable for people to visit The Cook Islands and experience the best country i have ever been to. The cabins had a bedroom, kitchenette/lounge and bathroom and a deck to chill out. We had a large fridge. Beautiful sweet fruit. Plenty of towels and we understand why. A passionfruit vine that kept me feed upon the most sweetest passionfruit I have ever consumed. The occasional family table breakfast which Odette provided everything! We loved getting to know everyone, including our fellow guests. The chicken families and the animals including Lucky, the cat who adopted us. The various varieties of fruit plants. Jo, Odette and Kiarni gave us so much hospitality in so many ways it is difficult to explain in this forum. Location is great. We had ebikes and was able to ride to all necessary places and beautiful beaches. The Cook Islands is no place for people who don't understand the concept of Roosters doing what they do and crowing. So if you can't appreciate the obvious, The Cook Islands is not for you. Jo, Odette and Kiarni are the epiphany of Cook Islands people. Warm, friendly and happy living a simple life. Their hearts are full. We miss them and one day will return.

Our time at JO's Farmstay was absolutely outstanding. The property is ideal for families looking for a peaceful, comfortable stay, fully equipped with everything necessary for a longer visit. The facilities are well-maintained, clean, and thoughtfully designed, offering the perfect balance of charm and convenience. The location is excellent, with easy access to the beautiful Muri Beach, making it a wonderful base for exploring Rarotonga’s stunning surroundings. The view from our room highlighted the serene beauty of the farm, enhancing our overall experience. Every aspect of our stay was smooth and enjoyable, reflecting the care and dedication invested by the hosts. We’d like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Odette and her family, who made our stay so special. Odette’s generosity, kindness, and thoughtful guidance truly elevated our experience. Meeting Kione was also a highlight – such a delight to spend time with him, and we already miss him! When we’re in New Zealand, we’d love the chance to catch up with this wonderful family again.

Hidden gem in the backbone lands of matavera.. Very accessible and also loved that it was close to a local shop mini mart gas station and of course a eatery vilis burgers.. Away from the main road ideal for our little one. Had a mini playground at the spot with outdoor shower usage shaded seating gondala was absolutely adorable.

amazing value for money. great hosts, large apartment (the smallest one). Joe and Odette give you exellent tipps what to do on Rarotonga (and what not to), they are very kind and help out wherever they can. we could leave there our luggage on the way to Aitutaki and stay for the day for a small fee. It's also a paradise for kids with small playground and fresh fruits from the garden.
