Good value for money paid. The hotel is somewhat outdated, but it was clean and looked well maintained. Pros: Location. Room layout. Free breakfast. Cons: Little isolation with street and other rooms. The air conditioner was also noisy. We got one room near the stairs, elevator and hotel laundry rooms which added to the noise.

Our room was nice and cozy although old style. The swimming pool luckily was heated. Fastfood restaurants and supermarket are nearby in walking distance. Nice lobby with Christmas decorations.

The room was clean and big enough. Despite the heavy traffic road in front of the motel there was only minimum noise. The area is safe and there is a mall with cinemas and many restaurants right around the corner. Pricing was no cheap but ok. We would come back.

We booked the suite (1 king bed non-smoking) and it was perfect for our family of 4 (2 year old & 11 month old) because there was a living area and bedroom (separate). This helped us when our kids had to nap and we just needed extra space. For the price, it was worth it especially the area. It was close to alot of things (including parks) and the beach (Balboa) was a 10 minute drive (maybe even less). When you arrive to the hotel it definitely gives off motel vibes but nothing creepy. When we entered there was a smell of dewiness in the air but as soon as we put the AC on we never had a problem the entire stay. The room was clean (I say it lightly) was it 100%, no but doable. I would recommend to do a quick risen of the bathtub before use (which I do normally anyways). With an 11 month old who is just always on the move, I asked the housekeeper to use the vacuum to do it myself a few times (peace of mind everything was picked up) You can feel the carpet does need a deep clean so if your picky bring slippers to wear and toss. Bed and bedsheets were clean. Are you expecting modern? Don't it's probably more on the outdated side. The staff were super nice and always willing to help when we needed something especially providing extra towels. Our suite was on the side of the lobby/restaurant (apx 5 rooms in a row) which had little to no traffic (no noise). If you pick the standard room you will probably be along the long hall where most of the rooms are so noise might be louder with people walking by more often. If you're expecting a beautiful morning breakfast spread set your expectations super low. The contennital breakfast was jus bought muffins, granola bars (to go), fruits (apply banana and orange) and bagel (jam, peanut butter and cream cheese) plus standard coffee and tea. They had brown bags for you to take and go. The pool was nice with the sun always over it and was never cold to swim. It kept our 2 year old busy (bonus!).

The hotel location is about 5 minutes from ocean. You can go to wach whales, go to the beach. There are many good restaurants and stores around the hotel.

Pool and spa were great. Lots of seating and umbrellas too. Appreciate that towels were provided at the pool.
