The cleanliness, the spaciousness, the ambience of the apartment. Meli was an excellent host. And of course we loved the magnificent views in a tranquil environment. We unfortunately had to check out much sooner than previously planned due to a medical emergency (we had to take our dog to a vet hospital in Santander). Meli was very understanding and helpful and despite the no refund policy was willing to reimburse us the remaining part of our stay. Her generosity and humane attitude comforted us greatly in those moments of distress. Thank you very much again.

It would have been difficult to have been treated better and almost impossible to find a more relaxing location with breathtaking views. The hosts were perfect; available on the phone at any time and quick to respond to any messages. The accommodation was ideal for our needs and indeed we have taken away a good few ideas for a property we are renovating (thank you Meli). We stayed for four nights and wish it had been longer; the area is one of truly astounding natural beauty and is the perfect location to unwind and enjoy the peace and quiet. The village itself is very pretty and the locals equally welcoming and happy to chat. One can walk from the property to local restaurants which provide wholesome economical food and a warm welcome. We have lived in a very beautiful part of the Mediterranean Coast of Spain for over 20 years in one of the most scenic valleys imaginable, or at least we thought so until we came to sample the delights of this gorgeous village in the Cantabrian mountains with fields of freely roaming livestock all around and the backdrop of awe inspiring mountains with free flowing rivers and streams with pretty cascading falls all within pretty easy walking distance, albeit up and down hill. Parking was super simple in a private spot right beside the property, but not such that your car blocks the view. We visited the coast whilst we were there which is around 40 minutes by car through sensibly wide mountain roads (windy, but easy to drive) and also took a trip to Bilbao to see the Guggenheim (just over an hour), but it was lovely to pop to the local "supermarket" (corner shop) and buy some bits to enjoy a picnic.
