The location was great. Loved the seating just outside the rooms, great to sit, have a beer and wind down as well as meeting others. The restaurant and staff both were lovely and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.

Excellent value. There are at least 5 types of different rooms and this may mean your room doesn't match the photos. Oddly the owners haven't uploaded all the variations. The budget rooms surround the courtyard where people can smoke and have shared bathrooms. The deluxe rooms are usually sold out (FIFO) and are a newer building(?). Very quiet apart from the steam train in the morning. Wifi worked well even in the furthest away room. Showers were hot. I wasn't expecting a bath mat in the budget room. Or two pillows for each bed. Bar and Cleaning staff were great and very friendly. The microwave was handy to reheat last nights pizza. There is a window in each room for ventilation and light but I understand the prison cell reference. You should only be there to sleep and escape the rain. Otherwise go out and enjoy the west coast!

For the price, the budget room was OK. There's free parking close by outside the rooms, the shower room was good. It was a good option to keep costs down on a long trip.

Great value for money. It was basic but clean & comfortable which is what we expected for the price. The meals in the pub were fabulous!

Didn't have breakfast. Basic, inexpensive acommodation that met my needs as I was in transit on a 4 day motorcycle trip. The meal in the dining room was very nice with great staff.
