Holiday Home Overview

Floras House is located in the center of the traditional village of Pyrgos in Santorini and offers 3 traditional suites, two of which have a jacuzzi with hot tub.
Each unit also features a dining area, a living room with smart TV and a fully equipped kitchen. Towels and bed linen are provided. Within 100 meters from Floras house is the main village square, with a restaurant, bakery and mini market.
In the area, you can walk through the picturesque alleys and visit the restaurants of the village. The nearest airport is Santorini Airport, 5 km from Floras house. In our facilities there is free private parking for all customers.

The property is very central to Pyrgos, a few minutes walk from restaurants, the square and the main road. It is also all on ground level, although there are a few steps up to the bedroom area. The Winery is a beautiful property, very quiet, a great place to relax. It’s also very safe, important as a solo traveller, behind security controlled gates. Plenty of parking and a nice outside area to enjoy your breakfast, glass of wine etc. I particularly liked the music system, which came with downloaded music to my taste (thanks to Flora’s father!) and the large portable fan - much preferable to the air conditioning especially at night. Fridge was stocked with beer, water, juice and there were croissants, jams, honeys etc all included. The kitchen was good - an oven, microwave and a dishwasher. Owner George sat with me and explained about the area, recommendations etc - he and wife Flora live on site so if there is a problem, or a question, they are nearby. They also arranged my transfer to the port by taxi but tbh next time I’d book a transfer through booking.com - it was much cheaper!

Lovely spacious and comfortable apartment, located very close to the centre of Pirgos which is a very pretty village, away from the mayhem of Thera and Oia but still with great bus links. Well equipped. Great views from the large terrace. Outdoor ‘hot’ tub great to relax in. Our hosts were so welcoming and helpful. You could not find better anywhere! We only stayed two nights as we were en route to another island but could happily have stayed for much longer!

There are places for which you don't need long reviews. Suffice it to say that if you found this place available, and you are looking for a unique experience, you should just book away. The place itself IS an experience and has it all - so much that you will want to have the time to stay there longer and live it like it was your home for a while. The host, John (and George, whom also we thank so much), is HIMSELF an experience and what you would call the perfect host - and one of the most amiable people I've ever met. The location, Pirgos, is in ITSELF an experience. Probably better to have a car if you want to move with autonomy, but if you prefer to move via bus, the central piazza is just a few metres away - as are the fantastic restaurants and a cosy bakery for your morning pastries.

Lovely place to stay that really feels like a home away from home. Nicely located away from the crowds. Owners very helpful with recommendations etc - only problem was not booking to stay longer !

The host was just great. He informed us about all the possibilitys on the Island, boocked best table in restaurants, organized diving and moore. We apreziated the privacy of this guest house, instead of the comment terrasse appartements.

John was the most kind and helpful host we have ever experienced. Such great recommendations - we saved so much time researching the area and what to prioritise due to the great recommendations. We had such a great time visiting beautiful areas and having such great food following Johns recommendation. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful historic place in such lovely part of the island. 😊🇬🇷☀️
