Wonderful host, who couldn't have been more helpful, with extra arrangements for us in advance (car hire, taxi) and very quick response to any queries or issues while we were there, despite being abroad; with a style that brilliantly combined warmth with efficiency Characterful cottage, built with great care to combine traditional looks with modern amenities, with exposed beams, spacious feel, homely and comfortable furniture Generally well equipped kitchen (subject to comment below) Spotlessly clean Pleasant housekeeper; helpfully left teas and coffees, drinking water, cleaned every other day Seeing others' comments, lack of AC not a problem as we were in the rainy season, and completely waterproof thatched roof was more relevant!
