A lot of amamities one can use, as a sport and yoga area, kitchen and even a Sauna and ice bath (against a fee). The staff was super friendly and even helped me to get my stuff back that I forgot at the hostel.

We came for 10 days and ended up staying month! The owners are two of the most beautiful humans we've ever met and they hire a team of spectacular people who made our stay truly magical. There's also a water filter (we were fine with the tap water though); heaps of spaces to chill out and a specific area for exercise with gear and yoga mats to use; beautiful trees throughout the property and bananas are hung up to share when they are ripe. It's very quiet after 10pm and they have trained their dogs not to bark all night (a real novelty in latin America). It's a lovely short walk either to the township or to Cocles beach along the road or the beautiful shoreline walk that you access from right in front of the hostal. They also sometimes offer massages, yoga and ceremonies... I could write so many more things that I loved about La Ruka but I'll stop there 😂

I stayed there for a few days. I just arrived by myself and I meet a lot of great people from different countries. The staff are really nice, friendly and respectful. The hostel is confortable, you can find everything that you need to cook, to organice your staff and also to spend time chilling there. One of the greatest things is that they have a space to do yoga and different yoga classes and also ice bath and sauna ! Sometime could be noisy because the location is in the main road that connect the town with the beaches but even that my experience there was wonderful !

It’s very clean and quiet. Everyone is extremely helpful. If you want some action you can go into town (10min walking or 3min bike) if you want some peace and quiet you’re right at the beach or stay in the really nice garden. It’s really green and beautiful. As a sólo traveller you can easily connect with others or chill in a hammock! Wifi is working everywhere, beds have curtains for privacy and you can even rent bikes. I really really enjoyed my stay, I already came back and will come back again!

I really really liked this hostel, everything was perfect with the exception of the heat in the dormitory room. The common areas are great, theres a pool table, smoking area, lots of places to relax, well equipped kitchen. The staff were nice and the location ideallic, although a short walk into town

I loved the hospitality with which they treat you, as if you were family. They have dogs and cats and they are adorable! The beds and communal facilities are very good. There are also yoga classes and you can try soaking in an ice bath session 🤪
