This was one of our favourite hotels we stayed in during our 2 week trip. The bungalow itself was gorgeous, we really felt in the jungle especially when it rained. The pool was stunning, there’s actually two, the other one is quite hidden but is also very peaceful. The breakfasts each morning were so gourmet, they were probably the best things we ate during our trip! The hosts were so lovely and nothing was too much trouble, they gave us amazing recommendations including a restaurant one called Mixta - this meal was a trip highlight. Their cats are also very cute!!

Wade and Laurie are very kind and caring. They texted before arrival and were there to recommend and to help. Roberto made amazing breakfast everyday and it is possible to order a special plant based dinner, which was amazing and highly recommended to do at least one night. Plates looked amazing and the food was delicious. The price is also good. The location was nice and quiet, surrounded by nature with a beautiful jungle garden and animals close by. Bike rental in the neighborhood to visit other beaches, but also beach in short walking distance. Also restaurants in walking distance. The bungalow was beautiful and cleaned every day. The two pools were also great to enjoy after a hot day exploring the neighborhood. It was amazing! Felt like paradise!

Laurie and Wade were wonderful hosts. A beautiful bungalow in a stunning jungle location. The breakfast, room and location were excellent, all so close to nature and Puerto Viejo. We also had a meal cooked by a local vegan chef, it was excellent and we would highly recommend!

This place is heaven. Beautiful bungalows in the mittle of the rainforrest where you wake up to the sound of howling monkeys and yet close to town and beautiful beaces. Laurie and her husbond does everything to make you feel comfortable. They think of everything. The breakfast was so delisious and every part topped with a hibiscus flower.

La Paz del Caribe is located just outside Puerto Viejo so you are closer to the best beaches, but still close enough to also enjoy the buzz of Puerto Viejo (5 minutes by car, 10-15 by bike). The B&B is located just of the main road. 2 minutes from the beach by foot. It is a very peacefull and quiet B&B in the middle of the jungle making that you go to sleep and wake up with only jungle noices. Furthermore, Laurie and Wade are the best. They have great recommendations, know the “hidden gems” around town and the breakfast they serve each morning is Amazing! The rooms are also very comfortable. You feel as it is your own jungle cabin surrounded by monkeys, birds, Agouti’s and their sweet house cats. Tip: Use the smaller pool to cool off at end of the day! 10/10!

The breakfast, the environment outside of the small houses, the jungle, the amazing sounds of the jungles. The owners. Everything was perfect. It was the best place I ever stayed.
