“A gem of a place in Puerto Viejo 💎”

We LOVED this hostel! It was by far our favourite place to stay in Costa Rica and really made our trip in Puerto Viejo. They have created a really welcoming and laid back vibe, making it easy to meet and hang out with new people. We booked 3 nights initially and ended up staying for 2 more! The room was as described and cleaned every day, but we spent most of our time there out in the hammocks socialising :) They make sure to turn the music off at a reasonable time each night which is good for anyone who might not want to be kept up by the noise. But honestly you will be out there most the time chatting the night away! One thing we would definitely recommend is the Cacao tour. This was perhaps the most authentic experience we had in Costa Rica and for the price is incredibly reasonable! The hostel itself is also just around the corner from Amaser - a yoga lodge - which was a gem to find on our last day and a beautiful spot for anyone who is into yoga - you won't be disappointed! Special shout-out to Janis who runs the hostel :D for being a genuinely amazing host, making us feel super welcome and like one of the family! As did the rest of the staff. We would definitely stay again 😁

One of the best hostels I‘ve ever been to! Such a great social atmosphere and hostel vibe. The open kitchen and huge chillout area with big tables makes it easy to connect to others and hang out. Staff is super nice and so helpful with everything. Definitely recommend staying there!
