Hotel Overview

Located in Tenerife’s Puerto de la Cruz, this historic hotel has a heated outdoor swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi. Rooms at the Monopol include satellite TV and a ceiling fan.
The family-run Monopol Hotel was built in the 19th century and was used as the local dance hall. It still has its original wooden balconies and typical central courtyard, filled with palm trees and plants.
Hotel Monopol is a 5-minute walk from the sea and less than 15 minutes’ walk from Playa Jardin Beach. Just 150 metres away, the lively Plaza del Charco is full of bars and restaurants. The hotel also has its own restaurant, 2 bars and a spacious lounge in the courtyard.

Very helpful and kind guy on reception. Beautiful lobby. Hotel in center next to small square with church. Lot of restaurants around. Close to ocean.

FAST WIFI ,REAL COMFY BEDS, STAFF ,Location bang in the middle of town. However the main essential here is the historic significance of the hotel and the architecture . Obviously modernisation comes at a cost but i felt it was all in the best possible taste.

This is a heritage, elegant hotel with an amazing indoor patio/atrium. It is situated right in the heart of the old city in a beautiful square with lots of bars, shops and restaurants right on the doorstep. The hotel's own outdoor café is a great spot for coffees, snacks and people watching until late into the night. Lovely buffet breakfast every morning, nice pool area, friendly and helpful staff.

Location excellent. The hotel is built round a lovely internal patio full of plants. There is antique furniture round the internal corridors.

I come to Hotel Monopol to relax as I work in Golf Del Sur, it is perfect for mainly due to the great staff

Amazing historical property. I was amazed by the design of the hotel. Room design a little old school. However comfortable, cold which is great in hot weather, great area for side-seeing the town. Lots of street art and old streets. Next to a lovely church. Run as a family business. Friendly stuff. Breakfast could be better.
