“Superb”
wood and stone structures. The facilities and very kind staff were all wonderful. Manufacture of selected dairy products sold in the hotel.

I agree with the points made in the other positive reviews, but I'll add... I'm imagining other travelers who, like me, prefer the train over car. The Ermita is a few minutes walk from the train station. If you want to visit the Caves of Altamira from here (which I highly recommend) and you are a big walker (like I am) you can walk there in an hour, and you can then circle back "the other way" to make a full loop. Or maybe take a taxi. I enjoyed walking past little farms and seeing happy cows and chickens at pasture. As for the Ermita itself, I was very impressed with the aesthetic. Someone has a really good sense of style. The antique floor was beautifully polished. Many features in my room, such as the upholstered headboard, the tiled shower, and the heater/cooler, seemed new. VIP treatment. A really good deal.

Great mix of old and new. Lovely unusual room under the roof beams. Old building but modern decor, bathroom, facilities. Bar and restaurant downstairs very atmospheric. Although the hotel has no parking, there is a large, free car park just over the bridge, about 5 min walk away.
