We had 3 wonderful days at Pu Luong thanks to Tom and his team. There are many nice homestays in the area but when the owner personally manages the property, restaurant service and conducts the tours, your can expect the best experience in this beautiful and peaceful part of Vietnam. The conducted tours are full of interesting cultural and historical information that one would not get on their own. I would recommend this stay and tour package for anyone looking for a quieter alternative to Sapa.

Very beautiful location. Our room was upgraded to a room with balcony which had the scenic view of the terrace fields and the mountains. Very lucky to have visited in the right season. Weather was wonderful, misty and cool. Service of the hotel was wonderful. Wish I had stayed for more days.

The staff are extremely and helpful. The views are fabulous and even better when sunny which we sadly only experienced briefly. That being said, the weather never affected our plans. Tom escorted 6 of us on a walk to a bat cave, village, and through the jungle which was great...places we would not have found on our own!! We also walked ourselves to a weaving village and then took the long way home to see other villages. The trip to the bamboo water wheels and raft ride was lots of fun. On-site spa was great...try the relaxation massage!! The restaurant was good with a large selection. There weren't a lot of near-by options but that may change as there is evidence of development. At the moment it feels serene and one gets a view of rural life in a stunning setting. Thanks Tom and staff!

Outstanding location, and super friendly and helpful staff. Place was so quiet at perfect view over the rice terrasses. Perfect for walking/trekking though beautiful nature, small local villages, meeting local people and breathtaking views of the rice terrasses. I truly loved this place. This was the no. 1 place during my stay in northern Vietnam.

Very nice located in the heart of Pu Luong. The staff was amazing and helpful in every situation. Also the organized tour was very nice and the massage in the SPA as well. The food was outstanding.

Tom was exceptional, as was the dog, Jerry and all staff there. The views are insane, the rooms are just the right balance of luxury and rustic home stay. The tour to the cave was once in a lifetime experience, Tom's English was impeccable and he taught us so much about the local area, culture and heritage.
