Hotel Overview

The romantic Monastery Hotel in the peaceful garden of the Strahov Monastery offers superb views of Prague Castle, Lesser Town, the Old Town and the Vltava river.
Prague Castle is just a few steps away and all the other historic sights of the Golden City are easily accessible on foot as well or by public transport.
The modern interior design uniquely complements the ancient style of this building. All rooms feature a flat-screen satellite TV, free high-speed internet and tea and coffee making facilities.
An internet point and a wireless internet zone is available in the lobby free of charge. Drinks can be purchased at the reception, which can also arrange sightseeing tours and excursions.
Due to the historic monument protection there is no lift in the building. All rooms are accessible only by stairs. The reception is only open from 07:00 to 19:00. When booking 9 or more people or 4 or more rooms for the same date, through one or more bookings, the hotel may apply different payment and cancellation policies. Please note that the same credit/debit card that was used for the prepayment of your booking needs to be presented upon arrival. If you are not the card holder or wish to cover the cost of the booking with a different credit card, please contact the hotel in advance. Contact details are stated in the book ng confirmation. It is possible to park your car in locked parking in hotel’s backyard (max. width 215 cm, max. height 190 cm). Reservation of parking is required.

The staff was so kind, welcoming and helpfull, it was a joy to visit. It was quiet at night, beds and pillows were superb and breakfast buffet had everything you needed.

This is a lovely hotel. We stayed here very last minute as our flight home had been cancelled and the next available flight was 3 days later! The room was very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was very nice and plentiful. The location is perfect for the monastery area, the castle and the Petrin Tower. It's a downhill walk to Charles Bridge and the other side of the river and then up hill all the way back but you can either get your steps in or pay a small amount to get a tram back!

In monastery, 50m to the most beautiful library and nice beer house, can hear church bells all day, Clean, attic very warm (in Nov), affordable price w/breakfast

Perfect place in an ancient monastery. Outstanding feeling. The room was big and comfortable with free tea and coffee. The staff is the best I encountered. Very nice and helpful. There was also a minibar (that we didn’t use). It might come handy if you have a crave for something. There are restaurants a few steps from the hotel front entrance. There is also a brewery next to the hotel. The breakfast provides everything you need. All the ingredients are fresh and not reused! We enjoyed it very much!!! If we come to Prague again we will absolutely come to this hotel.

Lovely quiet property off the beaten track but still within easy walking distance of The Old Town (if you don’t know the hill). Superb breakfast included. If busy night life isn’t your scene but you still want to enjoy a good beer and a natter, there is a super brewery on site

Lovely hotel in a beautiful building and very quiet location. The rooms are spacious and clean and breakfast is amazing. Tea/coffee are available all day, which is really appreciated. Staff are very kind.
