Welcome to Clown and Bard Hostel!
Since 1995, we’ve been your home away from home in Prague, offering a youthful spirit and dedication to guest satisfaction at a competitive price. Our international staff creates a lively atmosphere and is eager to share insider tips to help you explore the city.
Located in Žižkov, just three tram stops from Václavské Náměstí, our hostel is surrounded by the city's best bars, beer gardens, cafes, and restaurants. Enjoy free Wi-Fi, convenient lockers in our dorms (please bring your own lock or purchase one at reception), and amenities like hairdryers and irons upon request.

Important Information! Accessibility: No elevator! Access to our reception, rooms, and common areas is only possible via stairs. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Private Rooms: Our private rooms feature a mix of double and single beds. Please inform us of your preferred arrangement through the booking platform, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request, subject to availability. Location: Our hostel is situated on a hill; directions on our website can help you access the hostel with less incline.

The fine print
Reception Hours: 07:30 - 23:30.
Check-In Hours: 15:00 - 22:00. All requests for arrivals outside check-in hours must be pre-arranged with our staff at least 48 hours in advance. Additional charges may apply for a check-in after 23:00.
City Tax: Guests 18 years or older must pay a city tax of 50 CZK/night upon arrival.
Key Deposit: A refundable key security deposit of 200 CZK or 10 EUR (cash only) is required at check-in for each set of keys.
Group Reservations: For groups of 8 or more, a deposit of 400 CZK or 20 EUR per person is required (cash only). This deposit ensures adherence to house rules and covers potential damages. It is refundable upon check-out after a room inspection.
Minors: Guests under 18 are not allowed in dorm rooms. Written parental consent is required for those under 18, who may only stay in private rooms. A parental permission form can be found on our website.
No-Show Policy: The full amount of the reservation, plus applicable taxes, will be charged in case of a no-show.
Accessibility: Our reception, rooms, and common areas are only accessible via stairs; no elevator is available. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Conduct Policy: The hostel reserves the right to deny admission to anyone acting aggressively, intoxicated, under the influence of narcotics, or posing a threat to staff and guests.
