Although the owner is elderly, her English is excellent, so international tourists don’t need to worry about communication issues. She was incredibly friendly and hospitable. This was my first time visiting Porvoo, and she recommended christmas market and great restaurants in the city. She really reminds me of my grandmother.🥰 The hostel has all the basic facilities, including a toilet, bathroom, and kitchen (I didn’t even expect there to be a kitchen). P.S. If you’re looking for a modern, luxurious place to stay, this might not be the right fit. However, if you want the feeling of returning to your childhood days in the countryside with your grandparents so this is absolutely the best choice. I’ll definitely come back here if I get the chance. 😍

What a charming Hostel! The old wooden building is very nice and the rooms are simple but comfortable. There is a kitchen to prepare food and separate bathrooms with showers. Its located a bit outside the center but you can reach it within 10-min by foot or rent a shared bicycle. Nextdoor is the public swimming pool which can be good for rainy days. For the price it is a really nice stay and a charming hostel to visit. The history of the building is also very interesting as it was a female-led maternity hospital over 100 years ago. I can recommend to stay there :)

It was an incredible historical spot, the building was designed for single moms in 1904. It was a warm, amazing place.

The front-desk service is excellent. You feel you're at home. The woman who is running the place is very friendly and kind. She is such a caring woman that prioritise wellbeing of her clients before anything else.
