Hotel Overview

The Queens Hotel is an Edwardian building just 5 minutes walk from the beach and sits opposite Southsea Common. Popular local attractions such as the Historic Dockyard, HMS Warrior and the Mary Rose are 1.5 miles from the property, whilst the Royal Navy is 2.6 miles away. The hotel offers views across the Solent and the Isle of Wight.
Each room includes free WiFi, tea and coffee facilities, a hairdryer and TV. Some rooms feature sea views of the Solent.
The Queens Hotel offers on-site dining with views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. A buffet breakfast is served in the elegant, Edwardian-style 1865 Restaurant which overlooks the hotel gardens. The hotel bar also offers a grill menu for guests to enjoy, which is available throughout the day.
Spinnaker Tower is less than 1 mile from the property and can be seen from the hotel bar and garden. Clarence Pier’s amusement park and Southsea’s Castle are both under a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Portsmouth and Southsea Rail Station is less than 2 miles away and the Isle of Wight Car Ferry Terminal is less than 10 minutes drive away.

The hotel was a grand hotel, with so much history a fabulous old building. Great location, dog friendly, free parking, great food and comfortable bedroom. We had the best experience mainly because of the wonderful staff. Abbie, on reception went over and beyond to welcome us and accommodate our requirements - she was so knowledgeable about the hotel and local area and was a pleasure to speak to. Sobhi was so helpful, providing a secure store for our bikes and even helping us to carry the bikes. All the staff were so lovely and we had a superb stay. Will be back and have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anybody.
