The fine print
Full payment for all bookings will be charged at the time of booking. All major credit & debit cards are accepted excluding American Express. All bookings will include a temporary membership fee per person per night. (Full, existing members of Hostelling Scotland and HI using these channels are not entitled to a membership refund). Individual reservations (Up to 9 persons) - can cancel free of charge until 3 days before the arrival date.If cancelled within the 3 days before the arrival 100 percent of the total price will be charged.
Groups reservations (more than 9 persons) - different policies and additional supplements will apply.
More than 8 weeks (57 days or more) 20% of total cost. 8 – 4 weeks (56- 29 days)
55% of total cost. 4 – 0 weeks (28 - 0 day)
100% of total cost.No stag or hen parties are permitted at any youth hostel. Should guests be entitled to a refund or part refund please note that these are processed by Hostelling Scotland National Office, Stirling. It may take 7 to 10 working days from the date of cancellation request for the refund to be processed back onto the original card used.Parties with children under 12 years will only be accommodated in private rooms, where available. Hostelling Scotland advises that additional notice be given to the destination youth hostel when travelling with children, to ensure that suitable accommodation is available. There is no capacity for extra beds or cots.Check-in from 16.00 and check-out is until 10.00.Please inform in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.
Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.

From the moment we arrived, Susie was wonderful!! Provided us info to find what we needed in town prior to check in and was so helpful throughout the entirety of our stay. 4 bed dorms were comfortable, clean and guests were very respectful. Kitchen was fab and the lounge area with views was the perfect place to enjoy dinner! Parking was easy and £5 for 24 hours. Perfect base for guests wandering around Portree as well as those foung further afield. Looking forward to staying again!

Great location, very comfortable property ! Friendly staff and co-residents. There was a well maintained and clean kitchen as well which came very handy :)

Very friendly staff, great location, just a 4mins walk from the harbour. Parking in front (paying but reliable). Clean rooms and bathroom. Nice view!

Good location and staff, parking in front (5£ for the day) You can clean and dry your clothes (4 pm to 8pm) However, it's inconvenient that the 3 buildings are separate, you need to go out to go to the main building (kitchen) to the bedrooms The mattress was tiny for two and not comfortable. There is no space to put your clothes in the bedroom

The hostel had a lovely atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The guests were respectful of other people's space and peace. I'd definitely recommend the hostel to others and I'd stay again.

Room was spacious and clean. Bedding, towels and kettle provided. Access to the shared cooking facilities and fridge is a great bonus.
