Breakfast was good the staff on duty were very pleasant but felt rushed to order and eat so they could clear away Bar was good and well stocked . location was great and ample parking

The staff were really friendly, polite and helpful with any questions we had. The breakfast was excellent. Being out of season there was plenty of parking.

All the staff in Royal Sportsman Hotel were super nice but professional — offering suggestions on where to eat, what to do, how to go to attractions etc. They were clearly short-staffed — I saw many of them worked long hours (especially the F&B members) but yet they were cheery and helpful to me throughout my stay. The room was exceptional, cosy and clean. The location was only 5 minutes walk from Porthmadog train station.

It was a pleasure to stay at the Royal Sportsman. I have stayed before and always given favourable reviews. I was particularly pleased with the help I had in 2021 when I had a health issue and the reception staff were very helpful. There is a very nice atmosphere and the interior of the hotel is nice. Ditto my room, ditto breakfast. My very solid recommendation if you stay in Porthmadog, this hotel. The best local attraction is Portmeirion of Prisoner fame. Best restaurant, the Glaslyn Tandoori. Great walking around Beddgelert.

We actually booked a standard room. This room was situated on the ground floor of an annexe next to the private car park. The room had been renovated recently as you could still notice the smell of paint. The standard bed was really small and the room was quite dark with only a small window opening on the corridor. With £25 per night extra, they managed to provide us with a nicer room with a king size bed on the first floor. The staff were very helpful with this. Good choice for breakfast.

Centrally located with a car park. Really nicely decorated everywhere. Bar area was nice, food good with the mains being generous portions. Massive selection of drinks at the bar.

Great location, good breakfast. Rooms were very nice with a super comfortable bed. We had a court room which had great access to carpark and all on the flat. Only stayed one night but if in the area again will definatly book again.
