José and his family are all adorable and available. Their dynamism and their joy of life are enviable. They have managed to create a complete and efficient service (transportation, accommodation, meals and guide). You will receive a message with all the useful information and prices after your reservation. The location at the foot of the volcano is simply incredible. José built a splendid complex by his own hands with the lava from the volcano. A change of scenery, sporting and human experiences guaranteed. You can go there with your eyes closed !

Jose created and decorated this place in front of the volcano with nicely selected lava plates. He is doing everything, is always active and willing to offer you what you want so that you can explore around and use his place as a drop off point. it is <10mins walk to go to the centre of the town

This is an amazing place! It is built with the volcanic lava of the area and the views of the hostel are incredible, in front of the volcano. The hostel was very good and cleaned, and Jose cooks very good! We made a couple of excursions with Jose, one to the volcano and another to Salinas and the surroundings, and they were very good. We had and a lot of fun and we totally recommend this place. Thank you for everything Jose, we hope to come back sook!!! Arantxa & Andrea

Jose is a great host. He took us around Fogo to see these really amazing places. The room was very comfortable, toilets and bathrooms very clean.There was always hot water running from the bathroom taps when needed. I was really thrilled by the craftmanship in the buildings . Jose used larva to build the house, and used recycled bottles in building part of the walls of the bathroom, so much sustainability on display . Jose was also very helpful when i needed to book a last minute flight back to Praia. Thank you Jose

The place is built from natural materials from the crater. Very quiet. Nice views. The owner is also a guide, and speaks English. Room and shared bathroom were clean. Aluguer (collective taxi) will drop you off at the location. Location is just 10 minutes walk from the village. Room is very basic with no luxury, and priced as such :)
