I spend a lot of time travelling and in Hotels. It feels so good to stay in a House like the ones at Quinta da Dourada, it feels more like home. I loved that it is very well taken care, it is located in a beautiful place at Serra de S. Mamede. The owner is very thoughtful and does everything for us to feel at home, the staff is very nice. Very comfortable stay.

This is my favorite Quinta I have ever visited. In my point of view, this is the perfect place to stay for one person or for a couple. Quiet, peaceful, and comfortable stay with everything you need to rest from your day-by-day pacy life. Beautiful territory, invisible, but friendly host, breakfast, and small snacks are already in your room, so you can control your timing, which I find important. The location is great for those who want to forget the city life. Comfy beds, with soft linen and delicate yellow lights, cozy living room with kitchen and comfortable sofa.. Also, you can find useful information about the region right in your house. Very thoughtful. I felt incredibly happy staying here. Thank you!

We had a fantastic short break at this absolutely gorgeous place set in beautiful, peaceful countryside. Nuno and his staff were all very attentive and friendly, and the accommodation was well-equipped and spotlessly clean. We travelled with pets, so it was useful that the plentiful breakfast and dinner were brought to our own accommodation. We would highly recommend Quinta da Dourada to anyone looking for a peaceful escape. We hope to come back one day.

The swimming pool area is amazing, it is an ideal place for recreation and spending time with family, dog included.

Really neat location, with quaint countryside feel. It had a lovely pool and our unit had the most amazing courtyard to relax and have breakfast.

Continental breakfast was supplied to our fridge daily with fresh bread delivered to our doorstep each morning. Friendly staff, and resident dog, Ruca was extremely welcoming and we were fortunate to witness the lambing season, all on site. Surrounded by unspoilt countryside. The historic towns of Marvão and Castelo de Vide a short drive, and no shortage of hikes to be had in the São Mamede National Park. Portalegre is a good sized town with at least three supermarkets.
