I was expecting a motel type workers accommodation near the ferry., possibly noisy... wrong! It was perfectly fine for a visitor not expecting frills, but looking for a comfy bed, hot shower and more than adequate facilities. And it was quiet, and a great takeaway/eat in affordable place close by.

Excellent facilities in a recently refurbished room. Location is excellent for shops, eateries and ferries. Staff were really helpful, a special thanks to Natasha for her patience and going above and beyond to sort our booking.

So nice and quiet for a good nights sleep. Convenient location. You do need to check in at the Black Bear Resort which is just a short walk up the hill. Not far but be mindful of this when arriving.

The location was good - down near the waterfront, and with a good pub nearby to get a meal. Free parking available right outside our unit was also very handy.

Location was great and central to most restaurants, stores, cafés, tourist attractions. The stay was pretty economical but pay attention to the taxes which were noted but not on first glance. The room was clean, good size with basic amenities.

We were taking a Bear Watching trip with Sea Wolf (which was also excellent) and the Humpback Inn was literally a couple of minutes from the Bear Watching. Location was very central. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. It's a no frills motel, but perfectly suited to what we needed (and the staff were very friendly). Check-in is at a different location to the motel, but that worked fine (and was very clear in the instructions... and the check-in is on the way into town, so you have to pass it). Overall, very good option if you're in Port McNeill.
