Salt of the earth, lovely people running the place. A gorgeous old hotel seen better days. The cook can cook a steak. Accommodation OK for the price, that is, very basic, but hey it's iñ the middle of town. Just be aware that it is what it is in a town that has lost jobs from the railway and powerhouse..

You get what you pay for: a reasonably comfortable bed with AC, TV, microwave and shower in a somewhat decrepit pub hotel. The staff are very friendly and there are shops handy. You're right in the centre of Port Augusta - which seems like the forgotten end of the world till you visit Coober Pedy.

Did not get breaky. The Management was pleasant and accommodating. Had a good night's rest. All was quiet on New Year's Day.

We arrived just as the kitchen was due to close but they facilitated a lovely meal anyway.

Pool table in Hotel. Old building charm. Large bedroom in the extension motel rooms. Comfortable bed. Large TV. Located right near Waldata Outback Centre and supermarket. Sink outside bathroom was unusual, but could be great to allow couples to shave or do make-up while the other uses toilet in private. Menu looked good, didn't eat there to comment on flavour.

I liked the old style pub, great meals good value for money and considering I'll need to stay in Port Augusta regularly this will now be my go to place. Rick the owner is honest, down to earth and likes a chat. I like the fact this is an old fashioned type of place where custom service comes first. The meals are well priced, very decent portions and best of all taste fantastic. If you want the kind of service you used to get in a place like this then hands down Rick will not disappoint. Thanks again Rick and I'll see you again in a few weeks.

Convenient in the heart of town, good basic facilities, secure accommodation. Great for a nights stay in Port Augusta.
