The host was excellent, really easy communication and excellent at replacing a couple of broken items and guiding us to extra bedding when one of the beds had not been made up in advance. The house was brilliantly situated for everything we needed easy access to (church and village hall). The garden was great for the kids to play in safely while I could watch them from the kitchen window and the outside seating area was lovely to enjoy in the evening sunshine. We were not there at peak times but felt it was lovely and quiet at night and we were not disturbed by traffic noise. There is excellent access to the small convenience store across the road, village information centre and post office too. The utility room was fantastic for the dog to sleep in and for it's extra fridge for food and drinks. Beds were comfortable. Would definitely book again and recommend for a stay in Porlock.
