Overall, we had a great time in Ponza and at this apartment. The rooms were very clean and the people working at the agency were friendly and helpful. However, we felt quite jolted by the steep price and unusual expectations put on the guest. First of all, with a 5pm check in and 9.30am check out time, it is inconvenient and gives you the feeling that you are paying a full day that you actually can't enjoy. Also, I think it is unusual to expect guests to either bring an entire set of bed linens with them or pay 15e per person for sheets. The same goes for not providing wifi, or more than one roll of toilet papet. We walked away feeling like we paid so much for barely any ammenities. Additionally, the legal paperwork involved in booking, checking in, and checking out was insane. I felt like I was buying a house, not a vacation rental for a few days. Also, I spent a lot of time reading their extensive rules which I understand, you need rules. But after I saw fine print where they slap you with a 50e charge if you forget to take out the trash or recycling (again, not something I have ever seen at any other vacation rental), I felt such a lack of hospitality. Overall, the apartment is beautiful and spotless, but not at all worth the price and headache of paperwork and rules.
