Hotel Overview

Family-run for 3 generations, this Belle-Époque hotel in Pontresina offers the 700 m² Aqua Viva spa area with an indoor pool, a hot tub, various saunas, a foot bath with waterfall, various showers, a rest area and massages. Guests benefit from an on-site restaurant and free WiFi.
The hotel offers a choice of south-, east- or west-facing rooms, or quietly located north-facing rooms. All rooms at Hotel Walther Pontresina are non-smoking. Some rooms have a terrace or a balcony.
The La Trattoria restaurant serves Italian pasta specialities in a rustic Mediterranean ambience, together with fish and meat dishes and more. The hotel also features a bar with piano music and an exclusive smoking lounge.
Many services are available free of charge, including use of baby equipment and transfers from and to Pontresina Train Station. A small fitness corner is featured as well (treadmill, ergometer, weight bench).
There is an electric bike and mountain bike rental, 3 tennis courts, and a children's playground. Hotel Walther Pontresina also features a parking garage with jet-wash facilities.
Guests receive a 20% reduction on green fees at the golf courses in Samedan and Zuoz/Madulain. Public transport and cable cars can be used free of charge in summer, when staying 2 nights or longer.

“A beautiful hotel in picturesque surroundings”

The most perfect hotel in every way! The staff were so warm and friendly when we arrived, and every staff member we encountered during our short break were friendly and attentive. The room was spacious, beautifully clean and had the most incredible view of the mountains and the hotel facilities were exceptional. We ate at the trattoria and the home made pasta was so delicious. Our only problem was we didn’t stay for longer! We can’t wait to return.

Exceptionally well-managed property, the owners are present and watching all aspects of the functioning of the hotel. Rooms are beautifully decorated and maintained in a prestine way. Very good helpful staff. The shuttle bus was always availalbe as we needed it (the train station is quite far from everything in Pontresina). Waiters in the restaurants - for breakfast - and in the Trattoria were exceptional at their jobs.

Location, Food, Staff, Decor, It's like being in a wonderland.. Nearest Station Surovas is off a small hike with magical stream makes it more unbelievable..

Everything about this hotel had a 5 star feel about it, the facilities were excellent and the staff couldn’t be more helpful.
