Spacious and clean room with a great view, nice bathroom, friendly staff, exceptional breakfast. Warm swimming pool in the middle of winter was a surprise for us. Our daughter was so happy :)

The rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast is good - enough selection. Most staff are very pleasant (front desk, bartender etc... but few staff (restaurant/pizza) did look little miserable? Both bartenders we had upstairs (different nights) were very good - customer service/quality of drinks etc... Did not use pool or spa services so can't comment, used gym one morning (even though small had what I needed for well rounded work out). Was hoping to get the 30 min special message after but little confused on booking at adjacent desk - but found out easy enough through reception. Just ran out of time before we left to book. Liked the kiosk for taxi service.

Breakfast was good and it is a 15-20min walk from the city center. The hotel also has a free parking which is very useful at that location.

Spacious clean room, lots of parking in the street. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Location 15min walk from the center, perfect location to both visit Ponta Delgada and other parts of the island.

Ability to check in after midnight, the ability to use the luggage room and the swimming pool. Unfortunately we were informed we needed to purchase and wear a bathing cap. This came as a surprise and would rather be informed beforehand. The fact that you need to pay EUR 3 for the bathing cap is, given the fact this is an expensive hotel, kind of client unfriendly. I would advice the hotel management to provide this free of charge. The responsiveness of the personel in the bar is below standard for a 4 star hotel: in took a long time to be able to order drinks and it would be good to set the right priorities; first help your guests and thereafter prepare the tables with plates etc. On the other hand the personel at the check in desk were all great an d helpfull .
