This short trip for me coincided (as I discovered) with the rescheduled Carnival Week - delayed due to the pandemic. normally that would be great. I however came assuming it would be the typically VERY quiet & restful month of June… in reality that couldn’t have been further from the truth… party party party with horrendous noise from the complex Nextdoor and the Yumbo too. Not the hotels ‘problem’ of course. I was pleased to move to a quieter location for the last two weeks where I could pace myself and get some rest to aid my recovery. The Nayra hotel having stayed there many times is still one of my favourites in PDI. Great for a solo traveller… gay or straight. for two people I still feel it’s a big snug! The accommodation is cleaned daily although the arrival of the maid always either seems to coincide with when you get back from a 3 hour walk - all hot & bothered! the breakfast arrangement is great - catering to those who like hit food or salad, or pastries and gets refreshed from 8 until 11. I have no doubt I will hopefully return again - health permitting (& BA of course!!!)

Great choice of breakfast options everyday. freshly cooked omelettes and meats of your choice. wide selection of Fruit, salads, meats and cheeses. Fresh towels and bed linen when requested.

This is our 3rd stay at Nayra but this occasion went for our honeymoon and upon arrival Nayra staff had already put a complimentary bottle of champagne on ice with glasses which was a lovely start to our stay. The complex is so peaceful and tranquil, you would never guess it was situated 200 meters from the busy lively nightlife of the Yumbo centre, just heaven.

My main like of the property was that it was very quiet and relaxing. Many people appear to go to the beach rather than stay round the pool which means there are plenty of lounges to use and the mad dash to get one of a morning/towel reserving one simply does not take place. On many occasions during my two week stay I was one of only a handful of people around the pool. The pool is big enough to swim some laps although a little chilly initially early on in the day (I did not find this a problem). I also liked how spacious the room was, that it was equipped with a fridge and safety box, pool towels that can be exchanged for clean at reception and that free water was given whenever the room was cleaned. The room was provided with signs to signal if you wanted it to be cleaned or if you do not want to be disturbed along with another one for changing the bedding. It stuck a good balance between being environmentally friendly alongside personal desire for clean bedding. The room had a TV that was able to connect to Netflix. The property offers a wide range of food at breakfast which on the whole I was pleased with. They also offer a small selection of basic food during the day which I tried on occasion and believe it to be reasonably priced for what you get. A turkey and cheese sandwich with salad and potato croquette balls was approx. 4€. Cocktails were priced around 6€ each, were large and did not skimp on the alcohol content. The ones I had were really nice. Location wise it is directly opposite Yumbo shopping centre where you can find a number of shops, restaurants and bars. It’s a 3/4 minute walk to the Red Cow Sports bar/pub where you can watch football and approx. 8-10 minute walk to the beach. If you want everything on your doorstep it’s perfect. The staff are extremely helpful and diligent in their roles. In particular Angela on reception is lovely. She’s always interacting with guests asking how they are and goes out of her way to help you!

Good location, very central but still very quiet. Close to all the restaurants and bars of the Yumbo. Close to the beach and other shops and restaurants.

Location was really good. Across the road from the yumbo centre, 1.5 mile walk to the beach, lots of lovely restaurants all around the area. Really good choice for breakfast. Room was cleaned daily, towels changed daily.

Everything, really beautiful, quiet and spotless hotel. Pool lovely salt water, great little private garden bit out the back. Breakfast a lot of choice and all fresh and tasty. Staff so very helpful and all friendly. Excellent location. Clean towels given all the time, towels for Beach and or Pool, which were swapped for clean as often as you wanted, no deposit for pool towels, no deposit or charge for room safe. Fridge in the room. Complimentary Coffee and Tea, daily bottle of water in the room.

Loved the quiet hotel, the room being beside the pool, nice staff, great cleaners, great aircon!!! We loved it here.
