Resort Overview

THB Tropical Island is set 900 metres from Lanzarote's Playa Dorada Beach. It has outdoor swimming pools, a spa and free public parking in front of the hotel.
Apartments at the hotel are bright and comfortable. They have a full kitchen and a living area with TV. All the apartments have a balcony. Air conditioning is available from May to October.

Spacious rooms, balcony, plenty of pools, on-site shop reasonably priced, good selection of food at breakfast and dinner. Could see several team members in the tropical buffet engaging with guests and enjoying their work

Nice location and hotel garden. I made surprise holiday for my mum and I am glad I stayed in this hotel. If anything goes wrong, then it can be quickly resolved. Tasty and fresh food.

Reasonably equipped apartments, but don't expect wonders of luxury. Some of the features have a so 90's feeling. The staff at the reception and the restaurants were very polite and helpful. The buffet variety was great and the restaurant was spacious enough (for the low season). The small heated pools were also pleasant. Borrowing out sports equipment allows you to try (table) tennis and all sorts of ball sports.

Pools are clean and heated (“tropical” block water was around 24-25 in begining of the March), pool areas are well covered from wind as they are situated between blocks. Green areas and parks also clean and well maintained, there is a splash zone with some tubes for kids however the water is cold there. There is also bigger pool with water slides under maintence now (we were aware of that) and adults only pool. Every evening there is a show or something, in a large hall with roof and bar. We did not take AI so could not rate the dinner and drinks but the breakfast was good with large varieties of food, there was a cook making pancakes and omelettes by order. Huge parking area , always able to find a spot.

Resort is on point. Short walk to main promenade or marina. Staff very friendly and apartment and pool areas cleaned daily Facilities available on site are fantastic and now a brand new Aldi just outside the back gate.
