The staff was amazing, especially the activity manager who took us around and help us a lot!! Perfect position and food was amazing! The pool was perfect and the balcony rooms are the best!

Wow, you don’t get much better views than this! Absolutely incredible, we saw hundreds of elephants during our stay, it really is amazing! You could see the people from the neighbouring hotel feel a bit jealous as all the elephants come here and not as close to their one. Oh and the pool, they have such a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the river that the elephants bathe in. It really was stunning. I took mostly videos and not pics so the ones I’ve uploaded don’t do it justice. The hotel room itself is pretty basic, however it was clean and comfortable and food was really good - and extremely good value for money! They had evening entertainment too at dinner with some lovely singers / musicians which was such a nice touch. Staff are sooo lovely here and so helpful! They also sorted out my driver for 3 days which was perfect! But the best part has to be the elephants and the views. You have to book and experience this, it is so special. We didn’t want to leave. It’s only 5 mins away from the elephant orphanage and freedom project too.

This is a lovely hotel which overlooks the bathing area for the elephants will stop. It's really excellent value and stuff a lovely. The restaurant's pretty good and has a wide variety of food which is suitable for children as well.

Our stay at Hotel Elephant Park in Sri Lanka was absolutely unforgettable — hands down one of the best hotels we’ve ever experienced! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with refreshing drinks and genuine smiles from the reception staff. A special shoutout to Andrew, the manager, who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. He was incredibly accommodating, helpful, and always available for anything we needed. He even helped us arrange a taxi before we arrived and continued to assist us with transport even after we checked out — that level of care is so rare and appreciated. Andrew also helped us book the elephant bathing experience, which was magical and something we’ll never forget. Throughout our stay, he made us feel genuinely safe, cared for, and protected — like we were in good hands. The restaurant buffet was another highlight — full of delicious and authentic Sri Lankan food. The waitstaff were all so kind, attentive, and welcoming, just like the reception team. Overall, a 10/10 experience. If you’re visiting Sri Lanka, this hotel is a must. Exceptional hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and service that truly comes from the heart.

The location was unreal, the elephants are right next to this hotel for most of their visit. Great to escape the crowds and can view from the pool. Was amazing watching the twin babies play together. The staff were also amazing, Andrew arranged a free village tour for us and helped get us tickets to get in the river with the elephants. Bat island was very cool to see! Breakfast was good - lots of choice and amazing view.

It makes sense to stay for 1, maximum 2 nights. And only because of elephants. The hotel is just OK. All food is on street and lots of mosquitos on it all the time. The diversity of food isn’t big. If you a picky eater, you won’t provably find much to eat. The rooms are just ok, but lots of furniture are shabby or damaged. The place definitely needs some renovation. In the village there is nothing to do except for elephants The staff is friendly But the view, elephants, they cover all the minuses. It’s just amazing and it’s definitely a must in Sri Lanka

Breakfast was really excellent and a table was laid out byt the balcony for a view of the elephant bathing which was very nice, staff were very accommodating (thanks to Shakila on front desk), location, views from the pool and balcony are fantastic and AC worked well. On site dinner / restaurant was also good.

The proximity to be able to see the Elephants was a lovely experience. We had to leave early but did see the elephants walking in, which was very special. Swimming pool was warm & inviting with towels provided. Room comfortable & bathroom clean & a good size. Breakfast was buffet style with a good variety. Staff welcoming & friendly.
