The hotel rooms are simple and clean, the access to the elephants could not get you any closer. The team are wonderful, all led very well by Mr Ravi. We arrived for my mums 80th birthday and they could not do enough to make it special for her. It was magical. Yes you might see some elephants in chains, but this is for safety. I did not see any elephants harmed during my stay. We searched around to find the best place. This is it.

This hotel offers an excellent experience, highlighted by its amazing staff and spotless, spacious rooms. We were fortunate to be given a room with a beautiful view of the Mahaweli River, even though we had originally booked a room without one. The view truly enhanced our stay. The buffet was impressive, offering great value for money with a wide variety of options, especially for children. It was clear that the hotel caters well to families, as the entire place is extremely kid-friendly. Additionally, the hotel's location is ideal—just a short walk from the Elephant Orphanage, making it a perfect choice for families looking to visit this amazing attraction.

One of my favourite "go to" hotel's in Sri Lanka I love everything about the hotel, the bats flying over the river at dusk, the food, room and of course the elephants

I upgraded to a room with balcony overlooking the river...well worth it. I loved the pool which also overlooked the river. Breakfast was great. Check in was smooth, gave me a juice and an elephant necklace.

The view to the river was amazing. We could watch the elephants all day long. Breakfast is nice. We had lunch outside of the hotel, worst food ever. After we decided to have dinner in the hotel from menu, really good and nice food. Don`t look for outside restaurant, stay in. We used their pick up service, their driver guy was really nice and polite boy. Wifi worked good!

The room was basic but clean. It was in the best location to see the elephants from our balcony, which was wonderful. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We will stay here again.
