amazing view of the Douro, hosts left fruit, pastel de nata, bread for us each day which was so lovely. Kids went in the pool, and they loved the games room. Get a taxi up, walking with suitcases is tough, the hills are steep!

Host family were lovely and provided me with bread & milk which was much appreciated. The guest house I stayed in downstairs (room 1) was comfortable and cosy. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook, which is surprisingly rare across apartments on Booking.com from my experience. Just a note for others- the shops are pretty much all closed on a Sunday. Bed and bathroom great. TV written language (eg: menu) is in Portugese but you can make the audio language of shows English. Location (good and bad) - great view, gorgeous spot, stunning vantage point.

The views from this property are simply stunning. The living room and three bedrooms all share this view, each room having double doors out onto the terrace that stretches the length of the property. Breakfast on the terrace with that view is pretty special! The house has the character of a family home and a traditional rather than modern feel. We found it comfortable and well appointed. The pool is a raised one and we had it to ourselves on the days we were there. We didn't see much of our host but he very kindly appeared with gin-and-tonics for us one afternoon, much appreciated.

The location was excellent, the hosts were very welcoming even leaving Portuguese pastries at our doorstep All facilities are excellent and as described. The Booking website photos are exactly what you will experience...stunning views from atop a hillside.
