What a beautiful setting, with the river by our door step and the vineyards all around us. The house had everything we needed! We also had a birthday whilst staying there, and the owner really went out of his way to make it a super special experience. Cannot fault this place and how welcome the owner made us feel!

We loved the location among the vines right on the river but with an easy walk to town. The house is a beautiful comfortable home away from home and we especially enjoyed the variety of outdoor living areas. Dined outdoors every night. Would love to have stayed longer. Francisco is an outstanding host who gave us excellent recommendations.

Francisco met us on arrival. Communication was excellent. It was important to meet him to show us how everything in the house works, especially the heat during the chilly winter.

Casa do Riacho truly is a little gem! If u are in the Douro region this is the place to stay! It is beautifully situated on the Pinhao river that is peaceful and quiet ; the owners even supply kayaks for use! It is so peaceful; pretty ; clean ; we felt as if it was our little slice of heaven for a short time. The hosts are very responsive and try and make your stay perfect. It’s a short 5 minute walk to Pinhao Main Street , which also has great places to eat and wonderful quintas to try;
