We had a great time at Pingyao Laochenggen Inn. The room is really cozy and we were feeling like spending time in the past while having all the modern amenities. Our host was fantastic, he is extremely friendly, helpful and supportive. All in all one of the best accommodations we had in China.

I had a great time staying at this place.The room was very clean, and everything was well-organized .The hostel also had a lovely tarace where I could relax It was conveniently, making it easy to get around the city.The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, and I would definitely recommend it to other travelers!

Good location for the North Gate of the pedestrian city. Nice courtyard and room. Helpful mail and brief explanation about where to buy tickets. Pingyao is worth visiting and can be done with one evening/night and then a busy morning or a full day. WE LOVED THE PLACE 😁

1) a very authentic room, quiet, cozy, with a good bathroom, air conditioning and a complimentary bottle of chilled water; 2) the hotel is in the old town, fairly easy to find, especially since the owner himself came out to greet you; 3) a very quiet place; 4) the owner speaks English, which is very rare for China.

This is a superb old guest house within the city walls, has a traditional and very comfortable room and a very nice courtyard. Everything in the room worked perfectly. Our host was very helpful in all respects and was able to sort out an additional night when our train was cancelled. It is located 10 mins from the north gate and 10 mins from all the ancient city attractions. Highly recommended and great value.
