Staying at this hotel was more about the experience than comfort, but I loved the opportunity to sleep on a traditional kang bed—it’s a unique experience that shouldn’t be missed! The hotel is conveniently located just a few streets away from the tourist areas, making the surroundings pleasantly quiet. While the hotel offers a simple breakfast, the real highlight is the hospitality of the owner and his wife, who are incredibly sweet and helpful in guiding you around.

Hu lu wa is an enchanting traditional house in the middle of the old city. The atmosphere is breathtaking. The owner and his family were super kind and they gave us great tips to make the most out of our stay. Absolutely recommended!

Rest: The air conditioning worked well, very little noise from people on the street. Room: Hard tatami bed, thin pillow, spacious bathroom without a bathtub, so everything gets wet when you shower. Cleanliness: Acceptable. WiFi: Not used. Breakfast: They serve it to you, oriental style and scarce, we only had breakfast on the first day. Location: Inside the old city. Notes: Hutong-style establishment, the receptionist was very attentive.
