The hotel is the ancient residence of a Pingyao banker and it is beautiful and atmospheric, especially at night when the lamps are lit. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Alice, the manager, speaks English very well and was very welcoming. She gave us some welcome gifts and gave us tips on how to visit the highlights of the town in a short period of time.

Very nice location inside the city wall and not for the entrance. Very beautiful hotel, with a great traditional courtyard. Staff eager to help. Amazing bed if you like that kind of bed (which is our case).
