The hotel represents excellent value for money.. Our bedroom had a refrigerator which was very useful. There is plenty of free parking available at the front of the hotel. The owner/manager is a lovely man and very helpful.

The hotel and rooms are spotless, it is well located and even though it is just off the motorway it isn’t noisy. Staff are friendly and they have a cafe and restaurant which serves good food.

The hotel had everything we needed and the staff were all really nice. On arrival the welcome and check in was easy. The room itself was basic but comfortable with plenty of storage space. We had a balcony which was nice and the bathroom was good with a decent shower. The room had a fridge and when we asked we were given a kettle, some mugs and glasses. They also gave us chocolate mini rolls each time they cleaned the room, and a complimentary bottle of wine which were all delivered to the room. The bed itself was quite comfortable and the only things we had to grumble about were the fact that the rooms aren’t sound proof at all so you could hear the goings on in some of the other rooms, and on one of the days there was a strong smell of smoke. The positioning of the hotel was fine in terms of walking distance to the beach and the local restaurants and supermarket. The only thing with this is that there is no pedestrian crossing to get over the road so we had to basically walk to the roundabout and cross here which got us beeped at a few times! Not sure why though as there really was no other way to get across. We didn’t eat at the restaurant bit but it didn’t look busy when we were here other than on Monday morning as we were leaving as there seemed to be quite a few work people stopping off so perhaps a bit like a roadside stopping place. A lot of people asked us what it was like in the hotel and I think perhaps it might not have been good in the past but we couldn’t really complain. The staff particularly were so nice that it makes a big difference to the stay.
