Il Macchione is situated in a quiet and beautiful spot on the rolling hills of Tuscany near Pienza. Its position makes it ideal for exploring the incredible wine regions nearby. The views around the property are beautiful and many of the rooms look out onto the countryside. The activities are fun and Francesco has enormous passion for his work with the oil mill. The lunches as part of the activities are exceptional.

The location was perfect, walkable to pienza and in good distance to other surrounding towns. Everything was very well maintained on site, the grounds were beautiful.. The rooms were of a high standard and very clean. The pool area is lovely with a fantastic sunset. Staff were all lovely.

Beautiful property in great location. Very helpful owners, attentive to all needs. Communication prior to arrival was excellent. The apartments were well equipped and very comfortable.

This place is AMAZING - everything is great. The rooms are perfect, the air conditioning is so good, the pool is really wonderful. The location is perfect to explore Val D'Orcia and there's free parking in Pienza which is only 4 mins drive. Francesco and the team are very helpful and provided a number of driving itineraries by Whatsapp. Their sister restaurant in Pienza (Terrazza Della Val D'Orcia) is absolutely wonderful and you get lovely extras if you stay in Il Macchione - a free glass of bubbles, and 10% discount on the bill. Stay here! You'll love it. You will love it - stay here.

The view was perfect and the place along with the gardens were very cozy. Had a really nice pool and loved the atmosphere. One minor setback is the location, which was different from the listed address in the bookings.com. Except for that, everything was perfect! Thanks for a lovely time :)
