Easy to find, excellent parking, fabulous breakfast and a charming host. The lovely Pru & and the whole package at The White House has it all.

A fantastic house in a small village just south of Penrith, perfect for the Lakes or heading further north. The large garden is the ideal place for a picnic dinner on a sunny evening and sitting there it's hard to believe the main M6 motorway is just a couple of miles - and an entire world - away. The rooms are full of character and the large bathroom was the perfect place to relax after a long cycle. A genial host and dog-friendly - what's not to like?

Breakfast, location, chatting with owner. Good stop off for Lakes and Scotland. Excellent breakfast, very welcoming owner. Gave me some brilliant advice where to pass a couple of hours before moving on.
