Situated near the castle, a lovely spacious room with a stunning view, a comfortable room and a living area. Great communication on check in, we were offered a guide to the best nightspots in the old town and a late check out. Perfect!

The hosts were excellent. Extremely kind, interesting, very helpful with suggestions of where to travel in Spain during a very busy tourist season, and very interesting to speak with.

Beautiful rooms, everything is spotlessly clean, amazing views from the terrace, best breakfast in Spain and all topped off with a fantastic team. I can only recommend.

Beautifully clean, large room with very comfortable bed. Very cool as one of the lower rooms. Bed linen and towels were of high quality and products were provided which was an added bonus . Lovely large walk in shower.

Loved the location once we found it! Was a spacious room with comfortable bed lovely big shower and very quiet. Breakfast was superb we needed to leave before breakfast on our last day and they came in early to made us breakfast excellent service

La Plaza Hostal is an absolute treasure find!- Perfectly located in the highest village square of the ‘casco antiguo’ (old town) in Peñíscola, right next to the castle and with magnificent views of the ocean from the attic hotel terrace. The hotel is a traditional Spanish house, fully restored to perfection and designed with exquisite taste to blend in with the history, culture and tradition of this beautiful Spanish town. This hotel is the ‘real thing’! A true gem of a find! Cristina, the host, made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived. She was extremely helpful and truly went above and beyond our expectations; always available in person and/or on the phone. She always offered to help with any questions or queries and gave us great and valuable information and advice regarding the town, places to eat and to visit in and around Peñíscola. She was the absolute perfect host! Our room was fantastic! Impeccably clean and beautifully designed as the rest of the hotel. The bed was really comfortable and we had a very restful sleep. Breakfast was lovely too. Tasty selection of four different options and enjoyed it sitting out in the village square whilst also absorbing the whole atmosphere of the place. I very highly recommend La Plaza Hostal! If you are looking for the real thing; tradition, history, culture, hospitality, comfort, impeccable service, beautiful surroundings and a great welcoming, this is your hotel. Thank you for a truly magical stay! We will definitely return.

Loved that it was in the heart of Peñíscola and right across from the castle and many wonderful restaurants and bars are nearby. The property is clean, spacious and comfortable. Perfect for a one night stopover on our way back from France.
