Friendly polite staff. Breakfast with variety, everything fresh and tasty. It was the second time we stayed at Aconchego and they've changed for better. Car park is smaller now but still a safe place to leave the car while you can walk to restaurants, shops, bars and starting points of tours.

Gorgeous property - very much like the photos shown here. The facilities are very good, bed super comfy and breakfast - delicious! Great location - in city centre! Parking is recommend when staying in city centre, and at the property you have it. Staff was very friendly and accommodating- we left early because of the summer showers, and they managed our check-out at 6am. Some reviews mentioned that the bedrooms with windows towards the street may be noisy. We stayed at the property from Monday to Thursday, first week of January, our bedroom was facing a side street, we didn’t have any issues with noise. We actually slept very well!

What a gem! Sure, it's not a luxurious hotel but it has such a great atmosphere, perfect location and lovely staff there's nothing not to like. One of the best mornings we had in our trip was spent in the pousada as it was raining. We played some family pool and table tennis, relaxed in the hammocks and played some card games until the rain eased off. The location is spot on - turn a corner and you're in the old town, walk 5 minutes and you're on the high street where all the tour agencies are. Honestly, a joy. Huge bonus for the kids: the pool (again, small but very comfortable) was heated so even though we were there during winter, we used the pool on a daily basis. And there was even a sauna.

The parking, the kindness of the staff, the bed and linens. The room, although small, had everything we needed. The shower was hot. Breakfast was excellent with everything you could want and in an nice setting. The swimming pool very nice, not big, but nice.

Good breakfast. Great location. On-site parking. Attractive internal courtyard and pool. Helpful kitchen and bar staff. I had a comfortable small simple room (#15) with a cramped bathroom. Its air conditioning was quiet inside the room, but had a very noisy external unit that kept a relative awake in an adjacent room (#16).
