Anna “Beautiful Hotel with Great Amenities, But a Disappointing Stay Due to Air Quality Issues”

We were so excited to finally visit this 5-star hotel to celebrate both mine and my husband's birthdays. We booked a sea-view room for ourselves and our 6-month-old daughter and were pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary upgrade to a larger family room. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a modern interior, multiple pools (both indoor and outdoor), and a pleasant spa. The food was varied and delicious, and there were entertainment options for both adults and children. However, our experience took a turn for the worse when it was time to sleep. After returning from a live music show and taking a shower, we pulled back the duvet and got into bed—only to start coughing immediately. My husband went outside, which helped him a bit, but I stayed in the room with our sleeping daughter and couldn’t stop coughing. I opened the window, and while the air felt fresher outside, the issue didn’t fully resolve. It felt as if there was fine dust or powder in the air that we were breathing in. Our daughter also started breathing heavily in her sleep, which was alarming. Concerned, my husband spoke to the reception, and they quickly sent staff, including the housekeeping manager, to change our bed linens. While the air seemed to improve slightly, we still struggled to breathe normally and didn’t feel comfortable staying in that room overnight—especially with our baby. We were offered a room change, but given the uncertainty of whether the issue would persist and the difficulty of moving again with a small child, we decided to check out at midnight. The most frustrating part was that we never received an explanation for what caused the problem—whether it was a detergent, dust, or something else entirely. We were incredibly disappointed that we couldn’t enjoy our stay as planned. While the hotel has many great amenities and a professional staff, this experience left us feeling unsettled and unable to fully appreciate our time there.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely excellent! The rooms were new, spotless, and cleaned daily. There was entertainment available every day, along with special parties and dedicated spaces for kids, making it a great choice for families. The staff was incredibly kind, especially Ausma, who went above and beyond to support us and assist with anything we needed.

Hotel was great! Staff were friendly. Met the GM Christos who was a gentleman. I can see why the hotel is at a high standard with him in charge. Would definitely return next year.
